Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee: Emailing More Spamtraps

The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC), about whom I already blogged a couple of weeks ago, has apparently added some more email addresses that did not opt-in to its list in the last couple of weeks and is spamming them. The ESP is still Salsalabs, the ESP side of liberal U.S. political activist group Wired for Change.

The Wisconsin recall election against Republican Governor Scott Walker is the “beneficiary” of the list additions. Either this election is so overwhelmingly the main concern of the DLCC that no other email is being sent, or somebody within the DLCC who is responsible for supporting that effort is obtaining these email addresses and keeping them to himself (or herself). In either event, the DLCC is spamming people to support a political campaign. That is not acceptable to me, nor would it be to major blacklists or reputation services.

Two days left in Wisconsin, and I have never seen so many polls showing such a razor-close race. Turnout is going to be through the roof, and just a handful of votes will make or break this election.

These are exactly the kind of races where a final grassroots push always makes the biggest impact =E2=80=93 and in this case, the stakes are enormous.

We have two days left to win these recalls and then use that momentum to win victories across the country this fall. Please consider making an urgent, final contribution of $10 or more to the DLCC to help make these victories possible.
