Ahern and Associates: ONCE AGAIN Spamming a Purchased or Email Appended List
Transportation management consulting company Ahern & Associates, which appeared on the Mainsleaze blog once already, is emailing a large number of spamtraps, at least a half dozen of which are non-typoed pristine spamtraps. This time, they are emailing through ESP Vertical Response, which has been completely unresponsive to spam complaints for the past few months.
A pristine spamtrap that is not a likely typo is a red flag to anybody who fights spam. A single hit on such a spamtrap is bad enough, although it is sometimes possible to explain it away as an atypical typo or forged subscription. But a half dozen such email addresses? No. Somebody purchased a list or hired an email appender. Ahern’s previous ESP Pinpointe had strong language in its policy about spam and as I recall took effective action to stop Ahern’s spam. That might explain why Ahern moved to an ESP that is less determined to control spam from its customers.

Many times, I receive a call from a trucking company
that’s not where they need to be. They describe their challenges,
and, in many instances that ugly definition pops up – fear! Fear is
an emotion, induced by a threat, perceived by each individual. It
causes an unpleasant emotion, and agitation.
It is difficult when a trucking company is not where it needs to be,
for the owner/ managers to overcome that fear.
