Afri-Tech Technology spamming via ESP MailChimp
To be honest I’m still unsure how these guys got my corporate email address two (2) years ago and any sort of communications with them have gone un-answered. I’ve never been to any of their conferences and to be honest not sure I would ever go there.
I laughed though when I saw at the very top this little section, “Use this area to offer a short teaser of your email’s content. Text here will show in the preview area of some email clients” Seems like Afri-Tech was in a rush to spam when changing ESP’s again and just copied and pasted their content into a simple template offered by the ESP.
Now, I won’t say that MailChimp is spamming or being disruptive because I’ve seen them in the past take spamming from their network very seriously.
There was an unsubscribe option at the bottom of this one that I did take advantage of, but I doubt when Afri-Tech moves to another ESP as they have in the past they will honour it.
