Dear friends,

Filling the gas tank is draining Americans’ wallets and driving the country back to the energy debate. We continually hear hints from the Administration of an all-of-the-above energy policy, but production of our domestic energy resources remains inconsistent with that goal.

Natural gas and oil production on state and private land have seen an increase in the past year, but federal natural gas and oil production is down as low as 11%.

Gasoline prices may reach $5 per gallon this summer; we must increase domestic oil production and build the Keystone oil pipeline from Canada. It’s time to allow for development of our nation’s energy resources to lessen the financial strain on shoe string family budgets and add thousands of high paying jobs to our economy.

Sincerely,

U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis
