Carbon Central UK, an online marketplace for trading in carbon credits, sent bulk email to a number of my spamtraps last night. None of the spamtraps had previously received email from this entity. The ESP is Emailvision.

Smashinn.com: Teaching a Spamtrap to Play Tennis?

Smashinn.com, an online tennis supplies and equipment store affiliated with online merchants TradeInn.com, is sending bulk email to the same long-closed email address as its partner site Scubastore.com did a week ago. The ESP for both of these web sites, and a number of affiliated web sites that are also spamming the same spamtrap, is Emailvision.

Perfumaniacos.com: Emailing a Long-Closed Email Address

Perfumaniacos.com is mailing an email address that was closed in 2008, via ESP Emailvision. (: I mistakenly identified the ESP for this email as SendGrid. It is not; it is Emailvision. Thanks for the correction, Paul!) The web site for this sender has a poor rating in the Web-O-Trust reputation service, with messages indicating that it has suffered security breaches and been the source of spam.

ScubaStore.com, an online diving equipment and supplies shop affiliated with online merchants TradeInn.com, is sending bulk email to an email address that took its final dive in 2007, and after its twelve month timeout, was resurrected as a spamtrap. The ESP is Emailvision.

Loquierooo: Emailing a Long-Dead Email Address

Loquierooo, an online boutique that sells high-end electronics and other high-end products, is sending “offers” emails to a spamtrap via French ESP Emailvision. The spamtrap is a long-closed email address that has not been live for years, and that rejected email for over twelve consecutive months in the interim before being re-enabled. It should not receive any bulk email any longer.
