Blair: *Still* Selling Clothes, Accessories, and Home Goods to a Spamtrap

Almost three months after I blogged about spam from Blair, a U.S.-based mail order operation, the spam continues unabated to that spamtrap. Whatever the original reasons for this email address being on Blair’s list, they don’t seem concerned that their email is hitting a spamtrap. Their ESP is Yesmail, a division of Infogroup.

Blair is not the only Yesmail customer that seems unconcerned about the spam that they send. I don’t believe that Yesmail cares either, except if the quantity of spamtrap hits is sufficient to result in a blacklisting. After carefully watching what legitimate companies and ESPs send to my spamtraps for three months, certain patterns have become obvious. One of them is that Yesmail spam is persistent; once a spamtrap starts to receive email from a Yesmail customer, the email does not usually stop.
