Sheldon Container, a Houston, Texas company that sells industrial packing supplies, today hit my spamtraps, not with spam, but with a genuine, opt-in permission pass. A sample is below. The ESP is IContact.
Sheldon Container has been sending occasional bulk email announcements to two spamtraps of mine for at least the past several months. I never got around to blogging about these spams; I get far too much spam to blog about most of it. Apparently somebody else complained to Sheldon or to their ISP, and (a much rarer occurrence) another somebody at either Sheldon or the ISP listened. IContact undoubtedly deserves credit for nudging their customer in the right direction, but the customer made the decision. Well done, Sheldon Containers!
