Sports Authority: Selling Fitness Equipment to Spamtraps
U.S. athletic equipment retailer Sports Authority recently started to send bulk advertising emails to two spamtraps. Both spamtraps have been closed for over a decade. The ESP is E-Dialog.
Neither of these spamtraps is a likely typo candidate, so the spams were probably not the result of typos in a web subscription form or at a point-of-sale. Neither spamtrap had received email from Sports Authority previously. An extremely old, fallow list might have been reactivated (a *stupid* move, if so), but this has the appearance of a list purchase or bad email append to me.
