Westfield Southpark: Spamming Purchased Lists?

Westfield, a high end U.K.-based apparel and accessories company UK-based owner of shopping malls that has a presence in the U.S., is welcoming a spamtrap as a new subscriber. They appear to have purchased a list. The ESP is Responsys.

  1. Westfield is a mall operator with a chain of malls. I live near one here in Chicago. I suspect that perhaps who handles advertising for that SouthPark mall might be the entity who actually purchased a list.

  2. Interesting…. Westfield.com redirects to a page that looks very much, not like a shopping mall, but like a high-end retailer along the lines of Saks Fifth Avenue or Nordstrom’s. Could these be two different entities, maybe?

Westfield is definitely an operator of malls, they just opened a 2nd one in London next to the Olympic site. They have plenty of malls in the US and Australia too.

  3. Okay, fixed the blog. Thanks, both of you!

  4. Westfield SouthPark is still spamming the same spamtrap. If Responsys is paying attention, they’re not saying so.
