St1 Yrityskortti: Dear Spamtrap, Get a Business Fuel Card
St1, a fuel chain in Finland, is advertising their business fuel card services in illegal spam. They started (no later, but possibly earlier than) in October, and the only visible change is that the spamming domain names and IP addresses have changed for today’s missives.
(It was “postipalvelu.com” in October, and the complaint on Oct 10 was sent to St1 representatives in email only. No response was received. Kirjekyyhky.com was registered to an anonymous party on November 8, 2013. Pretty damn quick for getting thousands of subscribers, just over the weekend, huh? Oh, but those aren’t subscribers in the traditional affiliate marketing sense, they’re just crap harvested from business registers and the EuroAds “publisher” freely admits this.)

The DMA: Spamming Job Services to a Purchased List
The United States’ Direct Marketing Association (or DMA) spammed what appears to have been a purchased list yesterday morning. The email claims that the recipients of the email had expressed interest in the DMA, but it was sent to email addresses that never existed and were not likely typos. The ESP is Yesmail, a division of information broker Infogroup.

Blancoa Oy / toimitilaan.fi: Selling office space to spamtraps
Blancoa Oy (www, biz reg, responsible people) is spamming to sell temporary office space to spamtraps. This is not surprising because one of the people (possibly the only person) behind this is Janne Laitinen, also known under the business aliases “Yrityspostia.fi” and “Suunnittelutoimisto Jotain…”. What is surprising is that the ESP is MailChimp, who have been informed.

Nebula Oy (www, biz reg, responsible people, financial details), my favourite spam-support hosting provider here in Finland have taken the next step on their road to oblivion – by advertising their own services via spam. Their own Terms of Service might not amount to much, but this is decidedly a big step downward.

Patriot Action Network and Ning: Social Network Spam to a Non-Member
Ning, a social networking service intended primarily for entertainers who want to manage fan networks but now used by political and activist organizations as well, just sent a bulk email to an email address that has never existed. The Ning user that sent the email, and probable source of the spamtrap, is the Patriot Action Network, a prominent Tea Party organization that has appeared in my spamtrap collection a number of times before.

SEO solicitations via spam from MailChimp: Optimointi Pro Oy and MAJ-Yhtiöt Oy

Just pointing out that after being thrown off SendGrid for spamming, MAJ-Yhtiöt Oy (www, biz reg, responsible people) is now spamming from MailChimp’s infrastructure, along with their buddies at Optimointi Pro Oy (www, biz reg, responsible people). MailChimp has yet to respond in a sensible manner. MailChimp’s customer is suoraposti.com, aka Nettiapina Oy (www, biz reg, responsible people).
