Pastelli: Selling domestic kitchen and bathroom renovation to B2B spamtraps

Unfortunately it’s not an April Fool’s joke.

Pastelli Oy (www, biz reg) has been at it for a long time, my personal collection goes back at least a year.

Pastelli’s spam service provider is Scion Systems Oy (www, biz reg, spam service page). This business doesn’t bother informing the world of any Terms of Service, so supposedly spamming and the use of purchased lists are all just fine. They also offer the possibility of spamming their own B2B list.

I tried to inform the spam service provider about the previous incident (also involving a renovation company) in December 2012, but not having heard of RFC 2142, they don’t have an abuse@. Didn’t bother any further.

Tavoite Media / Lateralus Enterprise / Bisnesrekisteri.fi illegal spam once again

WASTE advertising gone AMOK?

WASTE apparently has something to do with music. AMOK seems to be a new album by a band called Atoms for Peace. It sounds interesting, based on the musicians involved. The only problem is that I did not sign up for this list and don’t have any recollection of receiving any sort of email from WASTE previously. So, I think this is spam, and it makes me sad.

(RESOLVED) MAJ-Yhtiöt Oy: Spamming web harvested addresses with SEO solicitations

MAJ-Yhtiöt Oy (www, biz reg) is spamming. The ESP is SendGrid, who will probably have terminated the sender before I hit “publish” on this post.

Merit Aktiva: Spamming Finnish businesses for bookkeeping software offers

Merit Software Oy (www, biz reg) is spamming to offer their bookkeeping software.

I believe the Finnish business Merit Software Oy is a fully owned subsidiary / foreign branch office of Merit Tarkvara AS, Estonian biz reg number 10254977.

The closest thing there is to an Estonian Mainsleaze blog is reporting that Merit Tarkvara AS has been spamming since 10/2005. My biz has seen spam from them in Dec 2010. My bigger spamtraps started seeing spam from them in Q1/2012 and it’s been a constant flux since then about once per month.

Estonian “Mainsleaze” blog

I just spotted Veebimees.info, which is a site dedicated to blogging about Estonian B2B spam. Dude has been at this for more than seven years. My hat’s off to you, Veebimees (“Web Man”).

Finnish Skijumping Federation / Kansallistalkoot.fi: Soliciting contributions by spamming

Finnish Skijumping Federation is spamming, trying to suggest that sponsoring their activity would be tantamount to national community unpaid work (the name of the spam-advertised website, kansallistalkoot.fi, translates to “national community unpaid work”). I reject the notion. To me, there is no sense of community unpaid work in the Finnish Skijumping Federation (Finnjumping ry, a sub-association of Suomen Hiihtoliitto, the Finnish Ski Federation) soliciting businesses for monetary donations.

The spam was sent by Oraakkeli Oy (www, biz reg) on behalf of Finnjumping ry (www, biz reg) through the resources of StreamSend, whose Acceptable Use Policy forbids the sending of UCE and whose Legal Agreements (item 5, specifically) prohibit the use of purchased lists.

Getwin Oy: Selling services to spamtraps

Getwin Oy (www, biz reg), a business partner of Tavoite Media / Lateralus Enterprise, is spamming (again, or still, whichever).

A little bird sang last week that Tavoite Media’s Bangladeshi resources had been termed. So now they’ve gone looking for more in Jordan. Of course there is nothing here to indicate that Tavoite Media is involved, but just how likely is it that Getwin have bothered to find a new partner in spam whose M.O. is exactly the same as that of the old one?

Suomen Perintätoimisto: Offering collection services to spamtraps

Suomen Perintätoimisto Oy (www, biz reg) is soliciting new business via spam. They’ve been at this since August 2012 at least.

Suomen Perintätoimisto Oy is carrying out their own spamming, soiling the reputation of their ISP’s mail servers in doing so. The ISP is DNA Oy, a local telco.

Originally their spams did not contain an address source as required in Section 25 of the Personal Data Act, or an unsubscribe as required in Sections 26-27 of the Act on the Protection of Privacy in Electronic Communications. Now it says it’s their own marketing file, and an opt-out is included. Based on the contents of the address file (i.e. where I’m seeing the spam), I’m suspecting it’s a purchased list from Fonecta in reality, and at any rate, it contains outdated and erroneous information, and addresses that are guaranteed not to have signed up to anything, etc. the usual fare.

eSoft – Verkkokauppa (Tmi Erno Tiepuoli): Still spamming to sell electronic gadgets

Nothing new to report, this old acquaintance (www, biz reg) is still spamming.

I suppose it qualifies as an ESP Problem now that Elastic Email have failed to respond to complaints on numerous occasions and the spammer is still busy spamming through their services.
