EmailVision: Competing with Topica for the #1 payday loan spam ESP prize

“Interesting” affiliate spam from EmailVision, hitting over a hundred spamtraps that I have access to. Promoting Euroloan Consumer Finance plc, a Finnish payday lender. I am getting the impression that Jubiis might be a Danish affiliate(?) spammer, but their website says they’re on Malta, and their Domain by Proxy registration illegally leaves them untraceable. The spam text is in Finnish save for the “description” of how you came to be on their list and how to be removed, which are in Danish, which is of course equal to Gibberish for 99.9% of the world population (save for the 5.59 million Danes, that is).

Mainospörssi: Contaminating TeliaSonera outbounds with spam

Mainospörssi (Deltaline Oy, www, biz reg, responsible people) is spamming Finnish B2B with a list purchased from Suomen Asiakastieto Oy and contaminating the outbound of their ISP, TeliaSonera plc, with their spam.

TeliaSonera’s response 1 Aug: “We sent a complaint on the matter both to Mainospörssi and the list vendor.” As if that would result in anything. Spammers take warnings as free opportunities to continue doing what they were doing, and terminations as a necessary cost of business. The only thing a service provider can do is make a spammer the problem of anybody else but themselves.

At present, kirsi1.inet.fi is listed by SpamCop.

Effortia Oy still happily spamming away via YourMailingListProvider

Effortia Oy, an old acquaintance here, continues to spam Finnish B2B via ymlp.net / Your Mailing List Provider. YMLP is turning a deaf ear to complaints sent via email and their website. The spam-advertised websites are hosted by Hostingpalvelu.fi.

Aboma Control Oy: Spamming to advertise accounting services

Aboma Control Oy (www, biz reg, responsible people) is using spam to advertise its accounting services. The spam says they are using a purchased list from Suomen Asiakastieto Oy. I received a copy of this spam at my business and saw it in spamtraps that qualify as outdated and erroneous personal information (the processing of which is illegal).

The ESP is Hurja Solutions Oy (hurja.fi, e-viesti.fi, qred.fi; www, biz reg, responsible people) whose web pages do not contain anything on the topic of acceptable use.

Suomalainen Kirjakauppa: Hell bent on using bad data

Suomalainen Kirjakauppa (www, biz reg), one of Finland’s largest bookstores (and oldest registered businesses) has been terminated previously by a Finnish ESP, and by a Swedish ESP operating in Finland, both for the use of bad data that hit spamtraps and landed their IPs onto blocklists. It is very likely that they aren’t deliberately spamming B2C (though it must be said that B2B spam that is guaranteed to be spam has been seen from them too), but by steadfastly refusing to clean bad/old/bad and old data from their legitimately acquired B2C lists, they have degenerated into spammers.
