Neptura Oy, Credo power Oy, Reality Interactive Oy, Axion Suomi, Rapid Investment Ltd, Spamming, Fraud, And Who Knows What Else

Since a few months earlier, a few interconnected Finnish businesses have been spamming a list that isn’t documented (but is clearly based on Finnish Business Information System data) with messages regarding “your [mobile, Internet, whatever] subscription update” (original Finnish: Liittymäpäivityksestänne) or “Contact” (original Finnish: Yhteydenotto).

Insinööritoimisto Ecobio Oy: Spamtraps, get your environmental permits in order!

Today’s tirade is on politicos running businesses that involve spamming.

Insinööritoimisto Ecobio Oy (www, biz reg, responsible people, notably a former member of our Parliament) is illegally processing outdated and erroneous personal data from sources illegally left unnamed, and spamming, and doing so partially illegally when targeting natural people who have no business context and whose prior consent the sender does not have.

Don’t do as I do… do as I say: Nebula Oy, graduating from spam support to actually spamming themselves

Ooooo, and it makes me wonder. (LZ)

Nebula Oy (www, biz reg, responsible people, financial details), my favourite spam-support hosting provider here in Finland have taken the next step on their road to oblivion – by advertising their own services via spam. Their own Terms of Service might not amount to much, but this is decidedly a big step downward.

Xtravaganza.fi / kevytkauppa.fi: Do businesses really worry about weight, or eat snacks?

Xtravaganza.fi / kevytkauppa.fi (domains registered to In Shape VIP Oy Ab, and Edlit Production Oy, respectively), who look like they might be somehow related to Shape.fi, are spamming Finnish B2B addresses (including outdated and erroneous personal ones) to offer them “snacks you can eat with a good conscience”.

Korpela Paper Ky: Spam to wipe your rear end to… wholesale of loo roll via spam

Back and forth… Lateralus Enterprise has moved

Back in November, I noted that my favourite spammer-boi had moved househis Bidniz HQ. It appears from the Finnish Business Information System that as of March 25, the Spam HQ is back in Espoo, at Kaskipuunkaari 7 M 38, 02340 ESPOO, which is a “right-of-occupancy” housing estate. According to the two results of a Fonecta Finder reverse lookup, the ownership of the phone number 040-594 0756 indicates the corresponding change both for Tavoite Media and the owner.

(RESOLVED) MAJ-Yhtiöt Oy: Spamming web harvested addresses with SEO solicitations

Finnish Skijumping Federation / Kansallistalkoot.fi: Soliciting contributions by spamming

Finnish Skijumping Federation is spamming, trying to suggest that sponsoring their activity would be tantamount to national community unpaid work (the name of the spam-advertised website, kansallistalkoot.fi, translates to “national community unpaid work”). I reject the notion. To me, there is no sense of community unpaid work in the Finnish Skijumping Federation (Finnjumping ry, a sub-association of Suomen Hiihtoliitto, the Finnish Ski Federation) soliciting businesses for monetary donations.

The spam was sent by Oraakkeli Oy (www, biz reg) on behalf of Finnjumping ry (www, biz reg) through the resources of StreamSend, whose Acceptable Use Policy forbids the sending of UCE and whose Legal Agreements (item 5, specifically) prohibit the use of purchased lists.

Suomen Perintätoimisto: Offering collection services to spamtraps

Suomen Perintätoimisto Oy (www, biz reg) is soliciting new business via spam. They’ve been at this since August 2012 at least.

Suomen Perintätoimisto Oy is carrying out their own spamming, soiling the reputation of their ISP’s mail servers in doing so. The ISP is DNA Oy, a local telco.

Originally their spams did not contain an address source as required in Section 25 of the Personal Data Act, or an unsubscribe as required in Sections 26-27 of the Act on the Protection of Privacy in Electronic Communications. Now it says it’s their own marketing file, and an opt-out is included. Based on the contents of the address file (i.e. where I’m seeing the spam), I’m suspecting it’s a purchased list from Fonecta in reality, and at any rate, it contains outdated and erroneous information, and addresses that are guaranteed not to have signed up to anything, etc. the usual fare.
